Privacy Policy

Dance Dimensions Parent Portal · Effective June 12, 2026

The Dance Dimensions Parent Portal (the “app”) is operated by Dance Dimensions (“we,” “us”). It is an information hub that lets parents and guardians see their dancer’s classes and receive studio updates. Enrollment, registration, and billing are handled in Jackrabbit, the studio’s system of record; this app is a complementary layer. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

  • Account email. Used to sign you in with a one-time code (we do not store a password).
  • Enrollment information from the studio.Your dancer’s name, their class enrollments and schedule, and family contact emails, imported from the studio’s Jackrabbit records so your account is set up automatically.
  • Profile details. Your name and role, where available.
  • Notification tokens. A device push-notification token, so we can deliver class and studio announcements, and your notification preferences (mutes, quiet hours).
  • Content. Announcements and media (photos/videos) that studio staff post for classes; read/seen status for those announcements.

Children's information

Dancers are typically minors. Their names and enrollment details are provided by the studio and by the enrolling parent/guardian — we do not knowingly collect information directly from children. The app is intended for use by parents/guardians and studio staff, not by children. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will remove it.

How we use information

  • Authenticate you and show your dancer’s classes, schedule, and registration links.
  • Deliver class and studio-wide announcements and push notifications you haven’t opted out of.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the app.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us run the app:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and access control.
  • Cloudflare R2 — storage for class and announcement media.
  • Expo and Apple/Google — delivery of push notifications.
  • Resend — sending your one-time sign-in codes by email.

Enrollment data originates from Jackrabbit, the studio’s system of record. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. When a dancer is no longer enrolled, related access is removed during routine reconciliation. You may ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see below).

Your choices

  • Notifications.Mute individual classes, turn off studio announcements, set quiet hours, or disable push entirely in the app’s Profile settings, or in your device settings.
  • Access & deletion. To access, correct, or delete your account and data, email us at newlandcreatives@gmail.com and we will process your request.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by row-level security so families only see their own information, and media is served through short-lived signed links. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
